The Phoenix, Albuquerque & Barstow Railroad is in the far North Phoenix Valley. This railroad was built from the ground up for a client with a physical disability, so the railroad didn't have to be VIRTUALLY maintenance free, it HAD to be maintenance free.

We believe we've accomplished that. Although no railroad is going to be totally maintenance free, this client is able to run trains 99% of the time, and when maintenance is required, usually it is something minor and can be addressed either over the phone, or with a quick visit to the property.

The pictures here show the Train Barn being built. This tracks in this Train Barn had to be 3.5 feet off the ground so the client would not have to get on the ground to maintain or put his rolling stock away.
