The Dynamite, Rio Verde & Eastern Railroad in northeast Scottsdale, AZ is the largest G-Scale railroad we've built and is again the second railroad we've built for this client.

The first was the Pinnacle Peak & Northern which was commissioned in 1995 and taken out in 1999 when the client sold that property.

The Dynamite, Rio Verde & Eastern has:

* 3800 feet of track overall
* 1254 linear feet of track per main and it is a double track main.
* 91 feet of bridges
* 95 feet of trestles
* 78 feet of tunnels
* 1 city with a streetcar that runs through it separately from the mainline
* several smaller towns and ranches
* a pond with a capacity of 12,000 gallons which spills over into a river flowing to a dammed reservoir.

The client allows Rick to "Run Trains" for invited guests every Friday night that the temperature is NOT over 100. If you would like to be an invited guest, please call Rick ahead of time and he will be happy to invite you.

This railroad is built in a desert invironment, so if you do visit, please wear closed toed shoes and remember that in the desert you are likely to run into things like cacti, snakes, tarantulas or scorpions. Just keep your eyes open.
Another thing we like to remind people of is that this is Private Property and it is never appropriate to simply ring at the gate and ask to see the railroad.
