The Bird & Bear Railroad is located in beautiful Tahoe City, CA. This was the first Railroad we built outside the Phoenix Valley, and while the distance aspect did present some unique challenges, it was wonderful being away from Phoenix much of July 05.

The grades on this railroad were challening due to the fact that there isn't a lot of flat land around Lake Tahoe. Also was the consideration of the harsh winters and deep heavy snows. But we managed and it weathered the first winter beautifully.
